Are you thinking of Buying a home or building? I have been making home inspections for 20 years and have saved prospective owners thousands of dollars with my "Walk-Thru" inspections. Please do yourself a favor and have your home inspected before you close the deal. The cost of a walk-thru inspection will be $360.00 for a normal sized home. You should also have your home inspected periodically (you go to the doctor for a checkup once in a while, don't you? Think of it as a "house call").
I spend at least 2 hours onsite with you going over all the systems that make a house a home. This is an excellent bargain. It allows you, as the buyer, to asses the purchase from an "eyes open" vantage point.

I also have inspections that are very complete 210 point written. These usually take me all day and you get a written list of problems and suggested corrections. Of course the cost is greater :-)
