My Grandfather, Father, and Uncle went into the construction business in 1951 and by 1959 had built one of the 10 largest construction companies in the United States, American Builders. Together they were responsible for more than 20,000 homes and several million square feet of commercial buildings in the five western states.

In 1981 I moved to the Sonoma Valley and worked in Marin County performing repairs and remodeling. I passed the test for my Contractor's License in 1983 and have been collecting happy clients ever since.
In 1992 I moved up to Sebastopol, and continued to serve the greater North Bay area. Interesting jobs I have accomplished recently include Pond Construction, Landscaping, and matching Faux paint. I enjoy cutting the rotted underpinnings out from under a deck or a bathroom and replacing them with something that is going to last for 40 years or more.
I feel that there is no job that is too small. I have generally limited my travel time to one hour's commute from my home base.
I also have based my business on a few simple fundamental principles:
I really like being a personal Contractor. I like establishing long term Client/Contractor relationships. I am never happier than when I am doing a hands on project.
